Dongwuk Son, MD, PhD, is Professor of Neurosurgery at Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital, Republic of Korea. He received his MD, MS, and PhD degrees from Pusan National University and completed his neurosurgical residency and spine fellowship at Pusan National University Hospital. He also served as a clinical research fellow at the University of California, Davis, USA.

His clinical and academic interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical spine surgery, and adult spinal deformity. He has held several leadership positions in Korean spine societies, including Scientific Committee Chair of the Korean Spinal Neurosurgery Society, Korean Spinal Deformity Society, and Korean Spine Oncology Research Society. He also serves on the editorial boards of Neurospine and the Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society.

He is actively involved in clinical research, education, and international academic collaboration in the field of spine surgery.
